it would be great to have the option of cloud mining and location available, so that the user can define which is the best for their equipment, as not everyone has powerful hardware.

To be realistic...
-A non-store app for phones will have to be sideloaded or apx form in developer mode. not easy for some users but not impossible with a little comunity support.
-I don't know about microsoft advertising but you can't have 20 devices on the same IP getting the same ads. -

We’re working on moving Bitcoin Miner off of the Microsoft Store so users will once again be able to mine with their own devices, and not be subject to Microsoft Advertising which is causing most of the crashes. The non-Microsoft Store version will be available for download later this year at https://www.groupfabric.com/bitcoin-miner
The upgrade is coming in two phases:
Phase 1: Over the next two weeks we will be releasing an Android “Miner Key” app which will separate the ads from the miner, this will allow the cloud mining to continue to work when Microsoft finishes shutting down their ad service on June 1st.
Phase 2: Over the next 1-3 months we will be releasing a Windows desktop miner, which will restore on-device mining. This will allow you to use your local hardware, where better equipment will make a difference when it comes to mining performance.

I agree. This app version constantly crasheson my laptop and closes. Not sure if I even get credit for the mining it compleed beforeit crashes. Constantly find myself clilckign on stop and start so I do not lose out of the mining. I do this after 25 mined each time.
