Although using the app would be nice to configure and tune your hardware> what I think more important is the ability to tune the software to the hardware which is the MOST important process in mining " worksize, intensity, threads ",> how hot or cold, fan curves, core and memory clocks, and voltages are rarely tuned through the mining software and isn't really the purpose or place for gui miners like this one or any miner. I also think this app does a great job of utilizing all types of hardware" which is not easy"!. so what your really looking for if you want to mine with your normal pc "which wont be profitable" is something like AMD crimson blockchain driver or msi afterburner, this will allow you to tune your hardware to comftorable levels of operation without damage.

waiting for you to allow the use of GPU's have several rigs that need to be used that are appreciated more than what is happening with my current miner software

Right now Microsoft Store apps are not allowed to access temperature sensors - this is because Microsoft hasn't standardized how to get this information and doing so requires accessing vendor specific driver interfaces which isn't allowed on the Microsoft Store.

What is possible is adding in manual CPU/GPU % controls, time-based controls, or user-idle/active based controls. We do want to implement these types of features but feel that user profitability still needs to take highest priority which is what we're working on right now. Once we improve user profitability, we want to continue to focus on quality improvements like these.

I have two old gamerlaptops, that i enherited from my kids.
The amusing thing is that one running only CPU makes the same yield as the other running GPU full blast and 20% of the CPU. (and vice-versa)
When you are running on a laptop, would it be a point just looking at the temperature and adjusting the performance % to a (user-set) temperature? (trying to run full blast on both CPU and GPU)
This would make it able to run on any old thing.
Otherwise, thanks for makung the most stabile platform able to run on all the different machines i own, including two laptops with Beast e-GPU. (GeForce cards just use the 372.70 driver. Hint)

Adding some throttling should be an easy fix. Power-saving is too slow, but Max performance causes my laptop to shut down after about 30 seconds - probably overheating. Any shades of gray would be nice over just black or white.

I'm using a dell inspiron 15 3000 and only getting between 6.5 kh/s to 10.5kh/s which is terrible i was using an hp notebook stream 11 before and getting between 16 and 30 kh/s some thing has really damaged this mining app bad

This miner only allow windows 10 or windows 8, i think it better to work with windows XP, windows 7 with 32bit.

    Thank you.

The initial hash rate spike happens only in Power Saving mode because Bitcoin Miner is determining the performance capabilities of your hardware to find the best yield while minimizing power use.

i dont understand why i go from 150 kh/s to 1kh/s after 20 seconds of running the program. I've used other miner programs and i can control it go mine around at least 300kh/s for long periods of time.

Also, where is the pool located? I don't even have that information.
