Tough to do: there were a LOT of scam apps out there on Android, and it got to the point where Google Play automatcally clobbered any app proposing to do mining (even the one legitimate one that I found, which actually did pay out, was banned).

I've played around with a few BTC miners on Android and yep, they're pretty much all fake. One, had it paid out, would have earned me 1 BTC in about 2 weeks (yeah, right). Google Play has banned 'em all.
The one exception, actually, is Tweakly's MineMojo. They can't list it on the Play store, and they've had a few glitches (such as a hacking incident a few months back that destroyed their records) - but they're up and running again.
You have to sign up via Android (or an emulator) but then can mine on any device with a browser. I find that it slows my phone down far too much, but I have it running on a spare desktop and am getting 600-800 satoshi a day. Would be more but it's on the same machine I'm running GroupFabric's software on, so I have both dialed down a bit.
Back in the on-device days, I would get 5,000ish satoshi every couple of weeks (if it didn't stop running for no obvious reason). Since it went cloud-based a while back, this machine was often turned off, so I hadn't really tried it until recently. Sometimes i can see evidence of progress, other times not. I'll give it a few more weeks just to see if I can get one last little payout.
Android mining will be tricky. I actually had an on-phone miner (Monero, but paid in BTC) for a while but the developers of that gave up on it after a while. Similar crackdowns on on-device mining - despite it being the only legitimate one out there (loads of scam apps, however). Pity that the scammers have made Microsoft and Google Play shut down legit tools.
